In the era of streaming, there are always new series to check out for viewers of all tastes, and the best TV shows to stream this week highlight that fact. One of the most popular reality dating series is making its move to Netflix this week. Temptation Island premiered back in 2001, capitalizing on the growing popularity of reality shows at the time. Serving as a social experiment of sorts, Temptation Island found a collection of struggling couples coming together on an island and agreeing to live as single people, letting the sparks fly.

Netflix has entered a new era in its streaming journey with its first regular live talk show. Following the success of Everybody’s in LA with John Mulaney, the popular comedian was recruited by Netflix to extend his wild idea to a more permanent feature on the platform. Each week, Mulaney will conduct his own in-person, sit-down interview with special guests while also challenging the talk show formula in some interesting and hilarious ways.
The chaotic and loose feel of Everybody’s in LA somehow worked for the show and Mulaney seems to be taking the same bold approach. Just seeing what he can do with a show of this kind is going to be one of the most entertaining things to watch on Netflix, with a new episode airing live on the platform each week over the next couple of months.

Following his starring role in the new Hulu series A Thousand Blows, actor Stephen Graham is back with another television project and one that will leave audiences on the edge of their seats. Adolescence focuses on a family whose typical life is thrown into chaos when their teenage son is arrested for the murder of a classmate. Graham plays the boy’s father who has to confront the realities about his son and his own parenting in the aftermath.
While the premise of the series is compelling enough, Adolescence finds a way to increase the tension by filming the entire limited series as one continuous shot. It is a very ambitious approach but makes for an engrossing and unflinching experience that will leave the viewer filled with emotion. It is another project that cements Graham as a true acting powerhouse.

Oscar nominee Amanda Seyfried’s movie career is filled with excellent projects, but some of her most acclaimed work, like The Dropout, has been on television. Therefore, it is a thrill to see her back for an intense and very different show with Long Bright River. Seyfried stars in the crime drama as a young and dedicated police officer in Philadelphia. As she is caught up in a case involving a series of murders in the city, she begins to worry it could be related to her missing sister.
It makes for a crime drama that is elevated by strong and grounded characters and an emotional storyline at its center.

2.The Wheel Of Time – Season 3

Prime Video’s ambitious fantasy series makes its much-anticipated return for a third season this week. The Wheel of Time is based on the novel series begun by author novels by Robert Jordan, and eventually finished by Brandon Sanderson, the story follows Rosamund Pike as Moiraine Damodred, a member of a magic community who goes on an epic and dangerous journey with a group of young hopefuls she thinks could be the Dragon Reborn.
Season 3 of the series will actually be an adaptation of the fourth book in the series, The Shadows Rising. It remains to be seen whether that means the third book, The Dragon Reborn, will be skipped or if elements of it will be blended into this story. Regardless, fans of the franchise are happy to have it back and The Wheel of Time can still find new viewers to join in on the adventure.

A new thriller crime series could become the latest hit for Apple TV+. Dope Thief stars Brian Tyree Henry and Wagner Moura as two childhood best friends and low-level criminals in Philadelphia who attempt to make their meager living by posing as DEA agents and raiding drug stash houses for money. However, after picking the wrong house, they find themselves involved in something bigger than they are capable of handling and hunted by some very dangerous people.
With Ridley Scott directing the pilot episode of the series, Dope Thief is already set up to be a more cinematic TV offering than a lot of shows out there. It is a gripping premise, with Henry and Moura delivering excellent performances in the two lead roles as flawed yet layered protagonists who find themselves in a brutal situation with seemingly no way out.
