Ant McPartlin Given ‘Very Extreme’ Medical Care After ‘Irresponsible’ Britain’s Got Talent Stunt Gone Wrong
Britain’s Got Talent host Ant McPartlin needed medical treatment after he accidentally headbutted a coconut and sustained a forehead injury.
The incident occurred during filming of the show’s auditions, with Ant being attended to by first aiders while co-host Declan Donnelly pointed out his bleeding forehead.
Ant had been interacting with an act that involved smashing coconuts on stage, initially trying to break one with his fist and commenting: “Do not punch coconuts kids, it really hurts. I think I nearly broke my knuckle.” He then attempted to use his head, saying: “Why did you say forehead? Because I was bound to try.”
After Dec alerted him to the cut, Ant humorously chided someone off-camera: “How irresponsible are you?”

The medic who treated him explained that Ant would need to change his dressing daily for three weeks. Despite the accident, Ant kept his sense of humour, remarking: “This is very extreme for a little tap on the forehead.” He later returned to the stage, undeterred and ready to take another shot at the coconuts, reports the Express.
Simon revealed he had a near-death experience while filming the latest series when a contestant almost missed during a dangerous act involving smashing watermelons.

The 65-year-old recounted: “It’s that feeling when you kind of think somebody doesn’t want you on the show any more. It was that. It was the closest, genuinely, where I’m thinking, ‘they actually want to kill me’.”
He went on to describe his terror: “And I swear to God, that’s how I felt because this guy got really nervous and he’d slipped and was shaking as he was smashing these watermelons.”
Simon then credited the safety team for intervening: “The health and safety guys, normally quite annoying, actually stopped him. Thank God, they saved my life.”
Ant expressed the cast’s concern, saying they were “scared for Simon Cowell’s life” and mentioned that this year’s Britain’s Got Talent series involves “a lot of danger”.
