Unfortunately for those who love the series, the time for that decision has come already. “I feel like season 2 fully fulfills what I wanted to do and accomplish,” Amer told Tudum at the end of January. With the story he wanted to tell now fully told, as he sees it, there is nothing more that a third season needs to add.
Certain viewers might be wondering whether there aren’t more legs in the story, especially following our introduction to a larger cast in Mo’s second season, including the extended Najjar family, as well as Palestine itself. There’s surely more humor and heart to be found in the culture shock and lack of belonging that Mo Najjar faces, stuck between his family and the country he wants to adopt him.
