Ruth Langsford Shares Emotional Update on Mum Joan’s Alzheimer’s Battle After Infection Scare

TV star Ruth Langsford has issued a health update on her unwell mum Joan following a recent infection.

The Loose Women panelist, 65, has been open about her mum Joan’s health battles over the past few years after she was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Her dad, Dennis, died from dementia in 2012.

In her most recent social media post, Ruth revealed that her mum has been battling a chest infection. However, she’s still not fully recovered.

In a wholesome video upload, Joan can be seen relaxing on the sofa next to Ruth’s dog, Maggie. Smiling throughout the clip, Joan looked happy to be petting the dog.

“Thank you for all your kind wishes for my Mum….she’s doing a lot better after that horrible chest infection….not quite well enough to come out yet but I hope she’ll be back dancing in my kitchen very soon,” Ruth wrote in her caption.

“In the meantime she’s enjoying lots of cuddles with Nurse Maggie! #mum #easter #family.”

Ruth’s followers rushed to the comments section to wish Joan a speedy recovery.
