West Lothian’s Lewis Capaldi made a rare public appearance on Friday night during a break from his music career.
The musician was in attendance at the SmackDown wrestling match at the 02 Arena on March 28.
It comes two years after he announced he was taking a break amid health concerns due to his battle with Tourette’s. However, the 28-year-old seemed in good spirits at the event as he gave a thumbs up to the audience.
In an image shared on the Netflix X account, the Someone You Loved singer was dressed in a black zip-up sports jacket as he enjoyed the night out.
He was pictured earlier in a conversation with Scottish wrestler Drew McIntyre, 39, backstage.
Many fans were quick to share their excitement over the star’s rare appearance.
One comment on X reads: “Lewis Capaldi at WWE that’s crazy.”
Another fan wrote: “It’s f****ng amazing to see Lewis Capaldi doing well after the health issues over the years.”
A third added: “Seeing Lewis Capaldi on TV once again was heart-warming to see.”
In 2023, the chart-topper openly discussed his struggles, raising awareness about his condition. After the Glastonbury festival, Lewis announced that he needed to take a break away from his job to focus on himself.
Writing a statement on social media, Lewis said: “The fact that this probably won’t come as a surprise doesn’t make it any easier to write.
“I used to be able to enjoy every second of shows like this and I’d hoped 3 weeks away would sort me out.

“But the truth is I’m still learning to adjust to the impact of my Tourette’s and on Saturday it became obvious that I need to spend much more time getting my mental and physical health in order, so I can keep doing everything I love for a long time to come.
“I’m so incredibly sorry to everyone who had planned to come to a show before the end of the year but I need to feel well to perform at the standard you all deserve.
“Playing for you every night is all I’ve ever dreamed of, so this has been the most difficult decision of my life. I’ll be back as soon as I possibly can.”
