Georgia Jones has announced some exciting news as she takes some time away from her husband Danny Jones after he kissed his I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! co-star Maura Higgins.
Georgia Jones is looking to the future and seemingly focusing on her career amid her recent marital struggles. The wife of McFly singer Danny Jones, 39, has announced some exciting news as she takes some away from her spouse.
The mum-of-one, 38, has apparently laid down the law with her husband following his kiss with his I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! co-star Maura Higgins, 34, at the BRITs earlier this month. Following the incident, Georgia, who shares seven year old son Cooper with Danny, reportedly packed her bags and left their shared pad to contemplate the future of their marriage.
Amid Georgia’s break from the marital home, the former Miss England is ready to return to work and take on new ventures. Georgia, who hosts the Mum’s The Word podcast with Kelsey Parker, took to Instagram on Wednesday night to reveal she will be appearing at The Big Festival in August.
Captioning picture of herself posing with her son and two female friends, Georgia told her Instagram followers: “From Besties & babies, to besties, to sister, to besties again, to now being part of the line up on an actual stage… with our real life podcast @mumstheword_pod!! August I cannot wait!! @thebigfeastival.”
Georgia’s exciting career news comes as it’s reported the podcaster has delivered a stern ultimatum to her husband ahead of his upcoming tour commitments. The much-anticipated Busted vs McFly tour is set to kick off on 16 September and will rock fans with 33 explosive shows across the UK and Ireland before wrapping up on 8 November.
A source confided to Closer magazine that Georgia is feeling jittery about her man being away amidst the fallout from the BRITs escapade: “Georgia is understandably nervous after recent events. She’s worried about what happens when he’s out on the road – but she also knows there’s a chance they can fix things. She’s given Danny a clear ultimatum – it’s now or never – and he needs to prove he’s all in.”
There’s still a silver lining of hope though, as they noted, “Danny doesn’t want to lose her and there’s still hope.” Over two weeks after the married father-of-one was spotted in a compromising situation with former Love Island star Maura at the BRITs afterparty in London, Danny finally issued a heartfelt apology to Georgia on Instagram.
He posted: “Hello everyone, sorry it’s taken me a while to post this but I’ve taken some time out to be with those closest to me. I want to deeply apologise to my wife and family for putting them in this situation. I love them so much and we’ll continue to deal with this privately.”
However, reports suggest that Georgia has left the home she shared with the Colours In Her Hair hitmaker and is staying with a friend as she figures out her next steps.
Insiders claim that the entire ordeal has been “embarrassing” for the mother-of-one, who tied the knot with Danny in 2014. “Danny and Georgia may still be married but they’re not together and she is working out what she wants to do,” an insider told The Sun.
They continued: “She has been hugely hurt and embarrassed by everything and told Danny she needed to get away. She has been staying with her friend Rose since Wednesday.”
They also revealed that the couple are “still talking” about how they can salvage their marriage following the scandal, adding: “Georgia is still married to Danny and wearing her wedding rings – but they’re not together at the moment and are having time apart.”
Danny has been married to Georgia, a former Miss England, since 2014, and they have a son, Cooper, together. In December he was crowned king of the jungle, after beating TV personality Coleen Rooney, the wife of former England footballer Wayne Rooney, on the ITV reality show I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!
He opened up about personal issues, including how his father does not speak to him, during his time on the competition, and spoke regularly about his family. Irish TV personality Maura, known for ITV2 dating series Love Island, came into the show late with broadcaster Reverend Richard Coles, and was booted out before the final.
Last year, Danny also came first on the latest series of The Masked Singer and his artist on ITV’s The Voice, Ava, whom he coached alongside his McFly bandmate Tom Fletcher, won the singing competition.
