Emmerdale favourite Kelvin Fletcher has excitedly teased ‘big soap news’ to fans, nearly a decade since his departure from the beloved ITV series.

Kelvin Fletcher, who is remembered by many for his portrayal of Andy Sugden on Emmerdale from 1996 to 2016, left the show and later showcased his moves on Strictly Come Dancing. More recently, he’s been embracing rural Peak District life with his family and their show, Fletchers’ Family Farm, which has resonated well with viewers.

Enhancing his repertoire, Kelvin is joining forces with his wife Liz Marsland to launch a new podcast titled Off Script, focusing on behind-the-scenes insights into Emmerdale and its counterpart, Coronation Street. Promising ‘big soap news’ on social media, Kelvin has sparked a buzz among followers.

The podcast aims to delve into production secrets and welcome conversations with some of the shows’ most prominent figures. A promotional Instagram post hints: “Get ready to dive into all things Corrie and Emmerdale  as (the couple) are joined by big star soap fans each week.”

Fans should mark their calendars for Friday, March 14, when the podcast kicks off with its inaugural guest, renowned Coronation Street actress Claire Sweeney, reports Leeds Live.
