Chris Pratt almost didn’t believe Millie Bobby Brown after she told him her real name after months of filming together and gave a hilarious reason for coming up with the name we know her by.
“My middle name is Bonnie,” Millie, 21, revealed during the Buzzfeed chat. “Millie Bobby Bonnie Brown?” Chris asked, looking perplexed. The actress then revealed that her middle name was completely made up, explaining: “No, it’s no Bobby. It’s Millie Bonnie Brown.”
Millie confirmed that she was telling the truth after Chris questioned her, but said that she’d always kept her real name under her hat. “I’ve never told anyone that. You heard it here first!” She joked.
Chris Pratt and Millie Bobby Brown have been working together for months, and the actor was shocked as she shared her real name for the first time ever.
Millie revealed that her middle name is actually Bonnie, and fans said the name was ‘beautiful’ – but still couldn’t get their heads around the change.
“Your middle name is Bonnie, but you just changed it to Bobby for…?” Chris asked, still looking confused by the switch up. “S**ts and giggles,” Millie said for her reasoning.
On Instagram, fans had strong opinions about Millie’s real name, and plenty made jokes about the tongue twister her name sounds like after her marriage to Jon Bon Jovi’s son Jake Bongiovi. “Millie Bonnie Bongiovi is epic hahaha,” one person quipped.
“OMG this is insane to hear after following her for so long,” said a second, with another gushing: “Such a beautiful middle name.
“Always wondered how her parents chose the name and now we know!” a third fan said, while one person simply exclaimed: “What on earth!”
Millie recently got plenty of praise from fans and other celebs as she hit out at trolls who’ve criticised her appearance in recent months. Many people have claimed that she’s changed her looks entirely or looks older than her age, with cruel comments from an Instagram post in December reading: “You’re pretty and your natural features look good, don’t fix what’s not broken,” and “Sorry but WTF is this? Like, why? Just why? So much fillers and Botox.”
The star currently has an incredible 5.2 million likes on a video posted on March 4, in which she read out some headlines of negative articles about her and made it clear that she wasn’t going to put up with the uninvited criticism any longer.
Opening the video, she said: “I want to take a moment to address something that I think is bigger than just me, something that affects every young woman who grows up under public scrutiny.” Millie then gave examples of comments made about her, and reminded people that judging women’s looks isn’t healthy. “Let’s do better. Not just for me, but for every young girl who deserves to grow up without fear of being torn apart for simply existing,” she concluded.
